At Blog Trackr, we have already written about the basics of video marketing. Before reading this post, make sure to check out that article for some tips on getting started in creating videos for use on your blog. In this post, we will examine video-making platforms that you could consider when you engage in video production.
These platforms will assist in your video marketing strategy. Some of them offer user-friendly features for novice filmmakers while others provide additional benefits for more tech-savvy individuals. Regardless of which platform you pick, make sure you incorporate video marketing in your overall blogging strategy.
With that said, let’s look at some offerings out there that can help you in creating high-quality videos. Since the following list only has 3 suggestions, it is by no means exhaustive and consists of a mixture of phone apps and computer platforms. However, everyone must start somewhere so be sure to consider one or more of the following suggestions.
Windows 10 Story Remix
Back in 2010, Windows discontinued the older Windows Movie Maker and replaced it with Windows 10 Story Remix. For those looking at where to start with creating videos, the best place to begin is often creating simple picture slideshow videos.
As a video editing software, Story Remix works by accessing your stored photos and videos on your computer. After selecting which videos or photos you would like to use, an editor appears which allows you to organize photos, add transitions and add 3D effects.
If you are looking for a basic video editing software, Windows 10 Story Remix could be right for you.

While Windows 10 Story Remix is contained in the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, there are other programs out there if your blog or business can afford it. One of those is called Animoto.
Animoto allows you to create professional-quality videos with pictures and video clips. However, Animoto requires a subscription of $8 a month for personal use and up to $34 a month for businesses.
Once you create an account on Animoto, you can select templates to customize your video. After that, you can add photos, video clips and music.
You can then select a song from their library and add a thumbnail, title and description to assist with search engine optimization.
Animoto allows you to create videos for many contexts depending on the tone you would like for your video.
If your blog or business can afford the cost, Animoto is worth a look.
Earlier in this post, I mentioned that some video editing platforms are available for iPhone or Android devices. Overvideo is one of those apps. If you are at an event, business meeting or even working during the day and do not have time to edit complicated videos, Overvideo could be the app for you. The app works by taking a video you shoot on your phone by adding music, text or images to it.
Once you create this video, you can download it and share it over email or even Instagram.
There are so many video-making and editing platforms out there that we will spend time offering other suggestions in our next blog post related to video marketing.
Until then, check out some of these options and start your blog’s film-making endeavors today!
