It was around a year ago that I first came up for the idea for Blog Trackr. It was born as a solution for bloggers and marketers like me who wanted to get ahead of the competition. And boy is there competition. Then, around five months ago, we released the first iteration of Blog Trackr as a private beta. And now we’ve got Blog Trackr free.
Not to toot my own horn, but that’s quite a bit of growth. Especially because I hardly intended for it to get this far.
Back to the beginning
Everything we’ve done, and everything we plan to do, is to help bloggers grow. That’s my mission. Blogging is the new way that people consume media. We don’t need branding specialist and marketing agencies, we are the marketing agency. We can produce the winning content needed to build our brands. Blogging is the method that anyone can use, anywhere, and at any time to further their brand and that’s extremely powerful. And quite frankly amazing.
Gone are the days where major news outlets were the ones who controlled the flow of information, today anyone can. Whether you’re blogging about healthy eating habits, bond fluctuations, or the Red Sox you have the chance to be a thought leader and build a following. You can assert yourself as a reliable source of information in any topic you choose, and for the first time in our history you can reach anyone with something as simple as an internet connection.
So we want to help. Because bloggers are awesome, and the world is getting too crowded to compete or get started.
Our next big step
In order to better help and serve bloggers worldwide, we’ve been working hard on our platform but like the old adage, if you build something and no one hears it did it have an effect? Maybe that’s not the exact wording but it’s the same principle. That’s why I’ve enrolled in The Founder Institute where I’ve been challenged on a weekly basis to explain and defend my idea, research and develop our idea, and manage my team more effectively.
Simply put it’s been a whirlwind. Seeing as I’ve never run a business the learning curve has been extremely steep but 100% worth it so far. I’ve gotten the opportunity to meet some truly great individuals, received valuable feedback on my idea. Not only that but I’ve been put on a launching pad to further our growth. In the coming weeks we’ll further refine our idea and next steps as we plan to release Blog Trackr premium in August as our first big step to changing the way people blog.
What I need from you may be the most valuable thing I can receive: feedback. We want to change the way people approach content marketing, and make it easier for small businesses to start. Ultimately, we want to change the way people communicate and to do that we better have a kickass way to do it. My ask for you, is to give Blog Trackr a try here and fill our our survey here. Your feedback means the world to us, and it won’t go unnoticed or ignored.
We have a pretty big dream, and I believe we’ll get there; thank you for being a part of the ride.
